A little mystery. A clear purpose.

Turn Christmas WH-question practice into a tropical island mystery! The Christmas Island Mix-Up invites students to help Nugget the elf sort mixed-up delivery tags, collect six clues, and find the star parcel before the beach celebration.

Across seven interactive challenges, students practice who, what, where, when, why, and how. They sort answers by question word, read short island messages, complete question-word crosswords, put words in order to build questions, and search illustrated scenes for clues.

Students follow Nugget through the Island Post Office, Christmas Treat Shack, Beach Toy Workshop, Island Lighthouse, Palm Garden, Flamingo Lagoon, and Christmas Beach Market. The mission hub keeps the next task and progress together, while earned clues stay in Mission Control for the final code challenge.

Three optional printable worksheets with an answer key extend the practice: Christmas question words, building WH questions, and reading an island message. Use the mission for seasonal literacy centers, partner work, ESL/ELL practice, or a teacher-led class activity.

Teachers activate their purchased mission, create a six-digit classroom code, and monitor student progress from the teacher dashboard. Students join using the code and a nickname or team name. No student email is required, and teachers can add an optional time limit.

Internet access is required. Use a desktop computer, laptop, Chromebook, or tablet in landscape. Gameplay is not designed for phones. Reading support may be useful for younger students or English learners.
