After Christmas Break, our students love talking about what they did. Target that language and practice in the Past Simple with FIND SOMEONE WHO walk the room. It's is a great way to use Past tense grammar, move around the room and socialize with classmates This Christmas/ New Year version has a twist!
What's the twist? It forces your students to form and write down the correct questions based on the prompt cards. For example: The card says " Find someone who ate Christmas cookies"
Your students must write down the question "Did you eat Christmas cookies?" on their recording sheet. Then they can move around the room looking for the right person.
You can place the prompt question cards around the room, on different desks, on the whiteboard or have your students pass them around. There are 24 different cards that focus on questions and answers in the PAST SIMPLE.
If your students haven't used a particular tense yet, you can remove those cards from the set. They are easily stored on a keyring so they won't get lost and will be ready to use every Christmas!

How to assemble and use this resource:
After printing the resource, I recommend laminating the cards and flap book before cutting. This increases durability and ensures that you can continue using this set again and again. The student brainstorming worksheet can be printed in black and white and attached to student notebooks.
